Korean visitors

This weekend we enjoyed the company of two special visitors from Korea, Kenny and T.J. They are spending a month in town studying English. Their trip is sponsored by the Mizzou East Asian Studies Program. Kenny, T.J. and 20 other junior high students qualified for the trip by finishing first in their respective county-wide written English exams.

Kenny (Sang-Ji Kang) is from Boseong and his parents are teachers. He is a lively conversationalist, extraordinarily curious and a remarkable pianist.

T.J. ( Jihun Goh) is from the island of Sinan and his family harvests salt from fields. T.J. has a great sense of humor and he is a big animal lover, quickly making friends with Mr. Bojangles and Rosie.

On Saturday, Kenny and T.J.'s friends Paul, Jason and Jack joined us for lunch at the world famous Shakespeare's Pizza, then we went to the ARC for basketball and swimming. In the evening, the boys went to the Greimann's house to play video games. Thanks Peter, Ken and Beth!

After church on Sunday, we went out for gourmet hamburgers at Bleu before shopping at the mall.

We had a fun, amazing weekend with our new friends Kenny and T.J.

  1. I'm glad you changed your comments thingy. I couldn't figure out the old one, so I just gave up even trying until I discovered that you have this "system".
Sounds and looks like you had a fun time with your guests.
