Venezia #1

Venezia, Italia. Venice, Italy. Ve Nice City. And oh, it was. We spent two days exploring the city of islands and canals. Historically a city nation and trade center, Venice was founded when the reigning duke, Angleo Particiaco moved Malamocco to the island of Riaolto 1200 years ago. Now Venice is a city of 118 islands with a population over 270,000. The only forms of transportation allowed are foot power and boats. No cars, no bicycles, no buses, trains or subways. Not even skateboards. We took a couple boat rides, and walked all day, both days. My feet are just recovering now.
